A very special day out awaits you as you board the Northern Belle luxury train to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh.
Your day begins with a royal welcome at York station, as the red carpet is rolled out and attentive stewards usher you aboard the Northern Belle. Joining you on board is Dickie Arbiter LVO, the best known of all the former Royal Press Secretaries who once had an office on the Royal Yacht Britannia and served the late Queen Elizabeth II for over 12 years.
You'll be shown to your plush armchair seat in one of the restored 1930s carriages, where one of the liveried stewards pours you a sparkling Mimosa cocktail as you browse Head Chef Matthew Green's inviting menu.
En route to Edinburgh you'll tuck into a sumptuous three-course brunch as you glide through the heavenly Scottish countryside. Dickie will give a talk on board the train, sharing fascinating insights into his time working as Queen Elizabeth's press secretary and his knowledge of the Royal Yacht Britannia.
On arrival, there's a private transfer to the Royal Yacht Britannia, where you'll spend the afternoon learning about the history of the ship.
Berthed at Leith, just two miles from Edinburgh, Britannia is now a fascinating museum. You will feel like royalty yourself as you explore the exquisitely decorated five decks.
Following your visit, there'll be some free time to explore Edinburgh, perhaps heading to the lovely Christmas markets on Prince's Street.
After an incredible day you'll rejoin the Northern Belle for a Champagne reception, before tucking into a mouthwatering six-course dinner and a leisurely journey home.
You'll meet the group in York this morning, where you'll be greeted with a red carpet welcome and ushered on board the Northern Belle by liveried stewards.
Once in your plush seat, you'll enjoy a sparkling Mimosa as the train pulls out of the station into the countryside.

After your visit, enjoy some free time to explore Edinburgh, perhaps heading to the Christmas markets on Prince's street.
You'll then board the train for the return journey to York, featuring an unforgettable six-course dinner.
