Hotel Review
Dakota Hotel, Manchester
Escape to this glamorous 137-room hotel for a grown-up break in chic surrounds. Luxurious rooms are places to relax with tasteful décor, Sky TV, underfloor heating and extremely comfy beds as standard, while there are plenty of spots to people watch from in the glitzy bar and grill, whether you fancy tucking into a steak in a candlelit booth or sipping a cocktail at the bar. Attention has been paid to detail throughout the hotel, from leather-lined lifts and striking statement lighting to more playful details such as a rag dog called Chester in reception. The light and airy cigar terrace looks great but is perhaps a little niche, and there's no gym or spa facilities - it's all about indulgence here.
