Hotel Review
NH Collection Grand Hotel Palazzo Dei Dogi, Venice, Italy
Set in the 17th-century Palazzo Rizzo-Patarol, this is a grand hotel in a quiet canalside location. Boasting one of the oldest botanic gardens in Venice, this hotel furnishes guests with a rare tranquility, away from the hubbub of central Venice but with easy access to most sites as the Madonna dell'Orto vaporetto stop is just 300 metres away. Located in the Cannaregio district, a popular place for locals to live, the hotel is surrounded by artisan shops and traditional wine bars and cafes. The decor is opulent with Carrara marble floors and Murano glass chandeliers, and modern touches like a bright carpet with oversized flowers lining the corridors to the rooms. The food is top-notch, whether you want some relaxed bar food in the cocktail lounge or a multi-course menu with fine wine in the Il Giardino Segreto restaurant.
