Hotel Review
Hotel Eden, Rome, Italy
One of Rome's most prestigious five-star hotels, the Hotel Eden, perched above the Spanish Steps and the luxury Ludovisi quarter, has been welcoming celebrities and discerning travellers since the late 19th-century. Enjoy Michelin-starred dining with panoramic city views in the rooftop Terrazza restaurant, or more traditional Roman cuisine in Il Giardino. Downstairs, in the lavish La Libreria, you can enjoy an afternoon treat from the chocolate trolley, a cinema experience with champagne and popcorn, or an early evening aperitivo in peaceful and relaxed surroundings. Rooms are sumptuous and many have balconies overlooking the city and windows that frame the sunset. High-end amenities include a celebrity hairdresser and a bijou spa offering treatments with Italian phytocosmetic brand Mei.

Rooms
We love the Villa Medici Presidential Suite, which is a corner suite with six windows and six balconies that offer a 180-degree view. The books inside the room come from the original collection of the hotel's founder and have his ex-libris pasted inside.

Indulge in the chocolate trolley downstairs in the library - choose between a thick white, milk or dark hot chocolate and a selection of homemade chocolate pastries. Spaghetti with pecorino and Madagascan wild black pepper flavoured with rose buds is a fan favourite and that's why it's been on the Terrazza menu since 2011!
