Five-star Castelfalfi is part resort, part reclaimed Tuscan village. With views on all sides, the location has real wow-factor - and you needn't leave the complex to experience La Dolce Vita. Rent a vespa, take a pizza-making class or a wine-tasting tour; the activities on site are endless, but be sure to allow plenty of time for loafing, too. The sun-trap pool is endlessly inviting, as is the panoramic terrace. Most guests congregate there for drinks at the end of each day, before moving on to a meal at one of the many excellent restaurants.
We loved the hotel's view over the valley - step onto the terrace and you'll feel like you've been transported to the backdrop of a Renaissance-era painting.

We loved the produce from the estate, from aromatic olive oil, served with the finest focaccia, to Castelfalfi gin on the cocktail list. The aubergine millefeuille served at Il Rosmarino was packed with flavour, and paired well with the estate's Sangiovese.
