If you have your own car you'll find the ample car parking available very handy, though those travelling by train will be grateful for the short distance to the hotel. You can walk into the city centre in 15minutes for cafés, restaurants and of course traditional Irish pubs.
As we came by train, we were delighted the station was so near.

The Deluxe Sea View rooms boast beautiful vistas over Lough Atalia. The Bewley's tea and coffee in the room went down well - it's always nice to see hotels support local producers.

The afternoon tea was tasty and the views over Lough Atalia added to the enjoyment. The light lunch offerings at Coopers are broad - we loved the Galway goats cheese salad with sunflower seeds, baby spinach, carrots and dressing.
